Akshay trained at National Youth Theatre and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Theatre credits include: The Family Way (Bolton Octagon), My Version of Events (Hope Mill Theatre), East is East (Bolton Octagon), The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (Bolton Octagon and UK Tour) and Chimney (Oldham Colosseum).
He has also recently appeared in The Full Monty (Disney+).
