Performing Beyonce’s hit Listen, Sam quickly received a standing ovation from judges and crowd members on The X Factor. Since then, Sam has been able to carve out a successful career for herself singing her heart out to audiences across the globe.
From an early age, Sam was fiercely passionate about music. Initially embarking on a career far removed from the world of entertainment, Sam received her first big break as a singer-songwriter in 2013. Having entered the tenth series of The X Factor, Sam’s incredible voice and show-stopping performance skills stunned the show’s expert judges, blowing away the audiences lucky enough to see her perform. Throughout the series, Sam was able to capture the hearts of the nation, enjoying an increasing reputation as one of the most famous British singers ever to have appeared on the show.
Sam’s success on The X Factor saw her team up with Nicole Scherzinger, holding her own in a duet with her famous counterpart. In recognition of her incredible vocal ability, Sam was eventually crowned the winner of The X Factor in 2013. Her debut single, Skyscraper, became a commercial success. Consequently, the single was released in a physical format alongside some of her most memorable X Factor performances. The single went on to reach the top spot as the country’s Christmas number one, further increasing her popularity.
Following the success of her first single, it wasn’t long before Sam went to work on her very first full-length studio album. Upon its release, Sam’s debut album The Power Of Love soon reached the number one spot on the British charts. Capitalising on her popularity across the country, Sam embarked on a nationwide tour soon after the album’s release. The success of Sam’s first album was soon followed up by the release of her second full-length album, Sing My Heart Out. Always eager to hone her musical craft, Sam has since continued to work on releasing further musical material.
Sam has also found considerable success performing on the theatre stage. In 2016, she was chosen to star in the well-known musical Chicago, playing the role of Mamma Morton. In addition, she has also performed as Betty Simpson, a character in the musical Fat Friends. Sam has also starred in the tour of another popular musical, Vampires Rock and most recently, Sam played the iconic role of Mrs. Potts in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
As one of the most famous songwriters ever to have emerged from The X Factor, Sam has established herself as one of the most recognisable UK singers in pop music today. Making use of her unbelievable singing voice and unquestionable ability to rock the stage, she continues to enjoy vast popularity performing for corporate events and music venues alike.
